About Saumyadwip
I am a Mechanical Engineer. I have an MTech degree from IIT Kharagpur in Thermal Sciences and Engineering. Can teach subjects like Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics. I have also taught Strength of Material previously. Would like to teach student individually, as I think an individualistic approach is very important in professional courses, like the ones mentioned above, to build the fundamentals and the right approach to problem solving. My teaching method is elaborate. I like to start from the fundamentals, as I think there is no shortcut in learning process. You can either learn the complete thing or you haven't learned anything. I prefer to keep the classes individual because of the same reason so that I can focus on the student's needs and can understand whether they have been able to get the complete picture, or, are building up on any misconception/s they picked up during the class. I prefer to rewind things frequently so that the students do not feel that the whole subject is an agglomeration of different topics but can appreciate the fact that the different topics lead to a coherent thought process and that the subject itself is a single tool of knowledge that they can/have to use after the course is over.
