About Madison
I have had 6 years of experience with teaching from ages 5-12 years old, and enjoy helping them grow their ability to excel academically. I am a very positive teacher, as I feel thats a great was to connect with a child, specially when they are feeling frustrated at a problem, or are nervous about asking for help. I will go at a pace that makes you feel comfortable, and do my best as a tutor for your academic needs.

I would first see what they do know, then learn what they don't know when it comes to solving a problem. I then would do a practice problem showing the steps and explaining as I go, making sure they too understand. Once they do, they will try themselves, and help where needed. A typical lesson plan would be going over simpler problems, to help memorize the steps, then problems that are a little more advanced to get them use to seeing that kind of problem. Go over answers, show the process used, and help them grow. I am very patient, go as slow or fast paced as needed, receptive, and encouraging. These lessons would be from grades 4th to 8th in mathematics including subjects such as algebra and geometry.
