About Phillip
I’m a Senior Data Scientist with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from UCLA, and I’m currently pursuing my master’s in computer science at Georgia Tech. My work involves Python, statistics, machine learning, and solving practical business problems.
I enjoy helping people understand subjects that may seem confusing at first. As a parent of two children, I also understand that everyone learns at a different pace. I’m patient, approachable, and comfortable explaining concepts in different ways. Whether you’re building a foundation in math or learning programming and data science, I want to help you gain the understanding and confidence to move forward.

I teach mathematics, Python, and data science by breaking difficult concepts into smaller steps and working through examples together. I start each lesson by checking what you already understand and where you need help. We then review the concept, practice a few problems, and finish with a short recap and clear next steps.
I have a mathematics degree from UCLA, work as a Senior Data Scientist, and am pursuing a master’s in computer science at Georgia Tech. This background helps me connect what you learn to practical applications. My lessons are for students from elementary school through college, as well as adults learning programming or data science. I adjust the pace to your needs and encourage questions throughout.
