About Grace

As a Computer Science major at Texas A&M, I have a strong academic background and a passion for teaching. I have been recognized on the Dean’s List multiple times and actively mentor many of my classmates, helping them build confidence in complex technical subjects. With experience tutoring K-12 students in all subjects, I adapt my teaching style to fit each student’s needs, ensuring they fully understand the material. I foster a welcoming, judgment-free environment where students feel supported and encouraged. My goal is not just to teach but to inspire a love for learning and help students develop the skills they need to succeed.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is centered on building both conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills in a structured yet flexible way. Each lesson begins with a review of key concepts and vocabulary to establish a strong foundation. From there, we work through problems together, applying the concepts step by step. Finally, the student practices independently while I provide guidance as needed, ensuring they fully grasp the material. More than anything, I want my students to learn and enjoy the process, which means fostering a welcoming and encouraging environment where they feel seen, supported, and never afraid to ask questions. I believe no one should ever feel “stupid” for struggling to understand something—learning happens best when students feel valued and capable. I take the time to get to know my students beyond just academics, ensuring they know that I believe in them before I even know them. My lessons are tailored for middle school, high school, and college students, particularly those studying Computer Science, Math, or related subjects. Whether working through introductory programming, algorithms, or problem-solving techniques, my goal is to help students learn and grow while building confidence in their abilities.
