About Michael
I am currently a senior accounting student, about to graduate with a Bachelors in Accounting. I have worked in CPA firms as an intern, I have done multiple financial statements and tax returns.
I understand how difficult it can be to properly grasp these topics. I was in your position at one point.
I believe that to effectively teach someone a subject, one must have a deep understanding of the subject so that they can easily explain it to someone with little to no knowledge on the topic. And so, if I do not feel that I am knowledgeable enough in the specific subject you need, I will not waste your time and money attempting to teach you that. If you do not know if I am knowledgeable in a topic you need help with, contact me, and I will let you know whether I am confident teaching it.

Studies have shown that when learning new subjects, students retain and understand problems better when first given the whole question and answer and allowed to work forwards and backwards. When the student has a better understanding of the subject, they do problems normally to reinforce their understanding.
My teaching method follows this logic. Before we meet, let me know what subject you need help with. If possible, send me and example of a problem that aligns with this subject.
During our meeting, we will go over the question and answer. I will provide problems to solve and we will work through them together until you feel confident in your ability to answer them on your own.
I can assist those from high school level to 200 level courses. I can also assist is some 300 level courses based on my expertise.
