Students benefit from learning writing from me because I teach it as a lived, practical craft grounded in real-world use. Drawing on my background in film, digital media, and education, I help students understand writing as a tool for thinking, storytelling, and communication across disciplines and platforms. I combine narrative craft with critical thinking, emphasizing clarity, structure, revision, and audience awareness, while showing how writing adapts to essays, scripts, research, and digital media. With decades of professional and teaching experience, I offer context for why writing conventions exist, how they evolve, and when they can be challenged. Above all, I meet students where they are, emphasize process over perfection, and help them develop confidence, voice, and transferable writing skills that remain valuable well beyond the classroom.
