About Patricia
I am a trained field biologist/botanist, ecotourism guide, author and educator with experience in habitats in North, Central and South America, Australia, and the Caribbean. I have developed curriculum, worked hands-on and provided training to students K-college Level, Professionals, guides and other educators. I have visited and worked with cultures and artists and crafts people in all these areas in addition to the sciences. I specialized in herpetology, botany, wilderness survival skills, and all things involving the biology, chemistry and physics of our world. I have worked for Museums, Nature Centers, Private Schools and individuals.

My teaching approach is always multidisciplinary and hands-on when ever possible. I have met students at a local library, outdoor facility or private school. I live on a 100 acre nature preserve with many live animals available to study and have had homeschool students study here - as a one or two days a week (2-4 hours) on-site and then have assignments to complete off-site. I specialize in younger very advanced students whose needs may not be met by standard education. I also have college and post graduate level students who have completed projects here or interned and studied advanced topics. I have tutored students in person or over the cell phone. (No internet on Preserve)
