About Gideon
I graduated from the University of Wyoming with two degrees: Secondary Education - Social Studies; and Psychology. Since then, I have worked as a high school social studies teacher, covering all of the social studies subjects in the tiny Wyoming town I live in.

As a full-time educator in a high school setting, I focus on helping students develop critical thinking skills through discussions and questioning. Typically, my lesson plans include slides with key information and details broken down into comprehensible bites, and with various graphics and videos embedded throughout. As we cover the material, I frequently make connections between historical events and modern , and I adjust the pacing and presentation to meet the individual needs of the people I tutor.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am certified as a teacher to instruct students in social studies, including history, psychology, civics, economics, and geography.
