About Luke
I am excited to build on my classroom experience with tailored online sessions to support students. I have a strong understanding of the skills required to develop students academically through understanding of the GCSE curriculum
I have also built up knowledge of a series of texts to recommend to KS3 and KS4 pupils, as developing a love of reading and an understanding of reading is one of my key aims as an educator.

As an English Teacher, I believe in strong vocabulary development and helping students understand key concepts. Vocabulary helps students express themselves accurately, and access a wider range of texts. Helping students find key concepts allows them to have a consistent high level idea to refer back to.
My teaching practice is summarised by high expectations for all and focuses on building knowledge. I have worked with a range of abilities and created bespoke targets to allow pupils to flourish.
Having strong GCSE experience and results at different levels, I want to help support more pupils through tutoring. Sessions would be 1hour in length for KS3 and KS4 pupils.
