About Emma
My diverse experience in the field of youth leadership and education informs my approach to tutoring. With 10 years of coaching, two years of substitute teaching, 3.5 years of university of education and practicum experience I have had the opportunity to work with children and adolescent in all stages of life. As a young adult I can relate with my pupils and connect their experience to my broad base of general knowledge. I have years of thinking on my feet and am able to pivot when strategies aren't working, enacting new strategies from my education tool kit that I continue to build.

Schools are structured for the reproduction of knowledge, my tutoring will remind you of the power of the past, our words, and visual culture. We will use our 60 min sessions to expand on critical terms, ideas, and definitions of your courses while incorporating different forms of knowledge holding. My methodology focuses on a love of learning and the power of ownership over your learning experience. By connecting my students interests with classroom material we can accomplish greater course comprehension in your chosen subject.
