About Nathan
Hi, I'm Nathan — a Zoology student at the University of Manchester with a passion for biology, ecology, and helping others learn.
I achieved an A* in A-Level Biology and am currently on track for a First in my degree. I’ve always enjoyed breaking down complex topics and explaining them in a clear, approachable way — whether it’s for classmates or students I tutor.
I’m especially interested in ecology, evolution, and animal biology, and I love helping others connect with these subjects and feel more confident in their studies. Whether you’re preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, or just want to strengthen your understanding, I’ll tailor the lessons to suit your needs and learning style.
I offer patient, structured support, and aim to make lessons engaging, focused, and friendly. I look forward to working with you!

My tutoring is intended to be supportive, tackling specific topics you feel you need extra help with. My teaching style is calm and structured — I break down difficult areas into manageable parts and explain them in plain English, always in the context of your course specification and exam applicability. I encourage questions throughout the lesson and will adapt my approach to your confidence level and learning style.
I often use active recall, guided practice, and regular short assessments to build understanding. I can also provide you with exam strategies that I developed and used to great effect in secondary school. I believe in making sessions engaging and relevant, especially when helping students prepare for exams or coursework.
