About Lucas
Hi, I'm Lucas!
I'm a second-year MPHYS Physics student at the University of Manchester. My interest in Physics stems from my fascination with breaking down the intricacies of nature into mathematical principles.
Beyond my academic pursuits, I enjoy an active lifestyle. Hiking, running, and mountaineering are some of my favourite outdoor activities. They provide a balance to my studies and connect me to the physical world.
As a tutor, I aim to share my enthusiasm for Physics and Maths with you. I understand that every student is unique, and I'll adapt my teaching methods to match your learning style and needs. Together, we'll explore the subjects and work toward your academic goals.

With a strong academic background, including achieving four A* grades during my A Levels at North Bristol Post 16, and a strong 1st in my first year at the University of Manchester, I'm here to help you with Physics and Maths at A Level and GCSE.
In our lessons, which typically last 1 to 2 hours, I focus on a practical approach to learning. Instead of giving you all the answers, I'll guide you through the material by asking specific questions. These questions are designed to help you understand the concepts on your own, which can lead to a deeper understanding of the subject.
After covering a topic, we'll practice what you've learned with various questions and problems. This practice is crucial for reinforcing your knowledge and improving problem-solving skills.
