About Sophie

I'm a student who is highly passionate about maths, chemistry, geography and biology!

I believe that from incorporating knowledge learned in class into real life, everyone can develop a passion for the subjects they learn at school.

Passion and hard work are key ingredients to excel, and I'm keen to try my best to encourage this for my students!

I can provide the PDF textbooks for most VCE subjects.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalised and focused on a student's own goals for VCE Mathematical Methods, or Year 7-10 Maths. I am flexible with online or in-person lessons, and am also okay with rescheduling, as I am free most days of the week.

Students are encouraged to develop their own passion for the subject, to extend their skills and understanding. Finding something I loved about Maths really helped all the formulas click, and kept me motivated to practice. This was crucial for Mathematical Methods, a subject where practice, speed and accuracy is important.

I am flexible with my lesson duration and times, and can offer a 1 hour free trial lesson.

I have a deep understanding of VCE Mathematical Methods, achieving a raw 42 (top 5% in the state) in Year 11. I also have 4 years of experience tutoring other subjects such as Chemistry, Maths and Chess.

I am happy to discuss goals with both parents and students about study methods, goals and motivations!
