About Matylda
I have attended King's College Mathematics School in London and achieved A*A*A in mathematics, further mathematics, and physics, as well as an A in a computer science AS. During my GCSEs I have attended Anglo European School and received eight A*s , two 9s (including mathematics), and an 8.
I have started volunteering during my first year of sixth form as a mentor for a year 11 student at a nearby school. The sessions were preparing them for their GCSE in maths and improve general maths understanding. The following year I have taken part in a mentoring scheme at my sixth form where I helped a year 12 student with settling at the new environment and going into A level education.
This year I also was invited to give a presentation to young people (around KS3) at an online school concerning climate change and activism.
Outside of official tutoring I have successfully mentored my sister during her preparation for GCSE mathematics, improving her achieved grade by three grades from the predicted.

Everyone understands concepts in a different way, therefore my approach when providing any type of explanation is rather individualised. Subjects such as maths can often seem difficult and intimidating and overcoming that initial fear and dislike is crucial to gaining full understanding.
I am a very enthusiastic and friendly student hopeful to spread my positive attitude to maths and physics. During my lessons I will work through past papers and homework questions as this method has been proven (officially and for myself personally) to be the most effective when learning problem solving.
