About May
I am an aspiring research scientist, and I want to be at the forefront of new innovations and technology. I would love to make a difference to the world and I believe nobody should limit themselves to dreaming small. In my free time I love to travel and experience new cultures, listening to music, running, doing karate and playing the French Horn. I am a strong advocate for mental health and I believe creating a healthy work-life balance is the key for a happy future. I like to encourage students to achieve their full potential as I know sometimes all it can take is one person's confidence in you to inspire you to choose the life path you wish to have. I like to put minimal pressure on students and create a positive and motivational atmosphere in the lessons, as I believe this is where most students thrive the most.

I adapt each lesson for the student, catering to their goals and most effective way of teaching for them. I usually start off the lesson with a starter question from last lesson's content to consolidate learning. I would then go through some content if requested using visual aids and mind maps. I would then proceed to exam questions to ensure the learning is 'active' and putting theory into practice. I would ask repeatedly if there were any questions or things that the student wasn't fully confident on. I would end the lesson setting a 30-60 minute homework for next lesson.
