About Shona
I completed the Leaving Cert in 2024 and achieved H1s in maths, applied maths, biology, chemistry and physics. I understand what it takes to receive top marks in these exams and hope to help others do the same. I have a great passion for science, which has led me to study medicine. I completed the HPAT in 2024 as well, scoring in the 97th percentile. This helped me greatly with logical thinking and reasoning, which I believe helps me to be a more effective tutor.

Experience in teaching leaving certificate maths and sciences. Knowledge and understanding of the leaving cert and what is required to achieve top marks. Previous experience in teaching junior cycle students as well, helping them work through areas of difficulty. I will work with students to help assess where they are struggling and help them work through and overcome their difficulties. I understand the importance of acknowledging different learning styles to help people reach their full potential. I aim to help students both to fully understand and apply concepts while also helping them with key aspects like phrasing and presenting their answers to ensure success in the state exams.
