About Ewan
I'm currently in my second year of studying maths at the University of East Anglia, meaning I have recent first-hand experience of the A-Level and GCSE maths courses. Achieving A* in both Maths and Further Maths (Edexcel 2024), combined with my studying maths at university, I have excellent knowledge of not only the content, but also how to tackle revision and exams in a 'student-realistic' way. Whilst I certainly have the student experience fresh in my mind, I've also been tutoring GCSE maths on-and-off for the past 3 years, and more recently A-Level maths, as well as working teaching maths in a secondary school this past summer. I strongly believe that maths at any level can be made accessible to anyone, and I strive to provide an adaptive and flexible teaching style that focuses on the student's preferences and working style.

Lessons will naturally vary from student to student based on how the student will learn best. This may involve a more traditional teaching style, or alternatively sessions may be more conversational and structured around exploring many different ways to think about topics or problems to find a method personalised to the student. I will let the student guide the direction of the lessons where appropriate - the first free session will partly involve discussing the student's needs and thoughts on what needs to happen in, and come out of, these lessons.
