About Shruthi
Hi! I’m a university student in Auckland who enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds. I want to help international students feel more comfortable and confident speaking English in everyday situations.
I understand that knowing English and actually feeling confident speaking it can be very different. My goal is to create a friendly and relaxed environment where you can practice without worrying about making mistakes.
Whether you want to feel more comfortable talking to classmates, making friends, having everyday conversations or simply expressing yourself more naturally, I’d be happy to practice with you and support you along the way.

My lessons are designed for international students who already know some English but would like more practice speaking confidently and naturally. Sessions will be relaxed and conversation-focused, based on topics such as everyday life, university, work, hobbies and living in New Zealand.
During our conversations, I can help with pronunciation, vocabulary, natural expressions and gently correct speaking mistakes. Lessons are typically 60 minutes and can be adapted depending on what you would like to improve.
I am a university student rather than a certified English teacher, so my lessons are best suited to people looking for affordable, friendly English conversation practice rather than formal English or exam preparation.
