About Rachel
I am very experienced in the field of academic history. Alongside working for my history degree, I have completed an independent research project into an artefact at a local museum, gained experience making history accessible to children by volunteering at my local museum, and am currently on the committee for Oxford University History society. I got full marks in my A Level History coursework and my EPQ, achieved near 100% in most of my A Level History exams, and regularly produce First Class essays at degree level. I am also happy to tutor Geography and Politics up to A Level, having achieved A*s in my A Level Geography and Mathematics.

My tutoring technique is focused on demystifying the examination process and giving pupils the confidence to explore subjects outside of the limits of the exam specification - a skill necessary for success at A Level. I have made a database of exam questions from previous years, alongside possible future questions based on the specification. From this I have made a comprehensive library of essay plans, supported by specific detail. From effective study of the examination process as well as the subject content, I believe that pupils can go into exams feeling confident that their hard work will be reflected in their results.
