About Mariya
I am a dedicated, enthusiastic Maths and Chemistry tutor, currently studying Dentistry at the University of Manchester.
Achievements attained:
• 10 Grades 9s at GCSE, including Grade 9 in GCSE Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology
• A*AA at A level, with A* in A level Maths.
• UCAT score 3260, Band 1 SJT
I am patient and caring with a genuine passion towards helping students achieve their potential. I deliver tailored lessons, breaking complex topics down into simple steps, and guiding students to ultimately succeed. With 2 years previous experience, I've worked with students from disadvantaged backgrounds to regain their confidence and achieve their desired grades.

I teach Maths and Chemistry using a clear, step-by-step approach. To build confidence and an understanding of methods, I use worked examples, practice questions and exam-style questions. Depending on the student and their learning style, I will adapt my approach to ensure an effective outcome.
From age 11-16, I teach KS3 and GCSE, foundation and higher. Lessons are tailored to the needs of each student and their exam board.
Typically, lessons are 60 or 90 minutes, depending on preference. I also set weekly homework to reinforce learning.
