About Josef

I’m Josef, a seasoned performer and rising artist with experience in major singing competitions and live performances. With over a year of experience in voice coaching, I have worked with students at different stages of their singing journey, from complete beginners and young learners to intermediate singers.

My coaching focuses on building both vocal technique and confidence. I teach the fundamentals of singing including breath support, pitch, vocal placement, resonance, register development, and vocal control while also helping students develop their own style and artistic expression. For students interested in modern pop and soulful R&B, I incorporate stylistic techniques such as riffs, runs, phrasing, dynamics, and emotional interpretation.

I believe every student has a unique voice and learning style. My lessons are personalized according to each student's age, experience, goals, and current vocal ability. Whether you are learning to sing for the first time, preparing for a performance or competition, or simply looking to become a more confident singer, I aim to make every lesson structured, encouraging, and enjoyable.

As an active performer and artist, I bring practical performance experience into my coaching. My goal is not only to help students sing better, but also to help them understand their voice, express themselves authentically, and feel confident sharing their talent with others.

About the lesson

My Approach as a Voice Coach

My approach to voice coaching is centered on helping each student develop a strong, healthy, and confident voice while discovering their own unique sound! As a seasoned performer and rising artist with experience in major singing competitions and live performances, I combine practical performance experience with structured vocal training!

I teach vocal technique in a way that is approachable and easy to understand, especially for students who are completely new to singing. Lessons may cover breathing and breath support, vocal placement, chest voice, head voice, mix voice, vocal control, resonance, articulation, pitch, dynamics, and stylistic techniques. For students interested in modern pop and soulful R&B, I also incorporate runs, riffs, vocal embellishments, phrasing, and emotional interpretation.

A Typical Lesson

Each lesson is adjusted according to the student's age, experience, goals, and current vocal ability. A typical session may include:

- A short vocal warm-up and breathing exercises
- Vocal exercises focused on the student's specific areas for improvement
- Technique work such as pitch, resonance, register transitions, and vocal control
- Song application, where we practice the techniques directly within a song
- Guidance on phrasing, dynamics, stylistic choices, and emotional expression
- Performance coaching and constructive feedback
- A short recap of what the student should continue practicing

For beginners, I focus on building a comfortable foundation and helping them gain confidence without overwhelming them. For intermediate singers, lessons can become more detailed and focus on developing vocal consistency, stylistic identity, stronger technique, and more expressive performances.

What Sets Me Apart

What sets my approach apart is that I don't teach technique separately from artistry. My experience as a performer and competition singer allows me to help students understand not only how to sing something, but also why a certain vocal choice works for a song.

I believe that good singing is more than simply hitting the right notes. I help students develop their own interpretation, musicality, confidence, and stage presence while maintaining healthy vocal habits. I also adapt my teaching style depending on the student rather than expecting every singer to learn in exactly the same way.
