About Dáithí
My name is Dáithí de Buitléir and I'm studying Applied Languages at the University of Limerick. I study French, Irish, and Japanese as part of this course. I studied all of these languages for the Leaving Cert and achieved a H1 in each. I have a great passion for teaching languages, having been a tutor for the past year and previously worked in schools. I have always loved languages, proof of which being that I have won various medals in the All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad and represented Ireland in the 2024 International Linguistics Olympiad in Brazil. I am dedicated, positive, and patient with excellent knowledge of the language (grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation), cultural aspects and nuances, and the ability to explain concepts simply.
