About Joseph

Currently studying in an M2 research master in Catalysis and Processes option at the École Centrale de Lille, in double degree (chemical / petrochemical engineer) with the Lebanese University, I am doing my research internship entitled: "Preparation of supports catalysts of hierarchical porosity with a green method ”since the beginning of March in the Unit of Solid State Catalysis and Chemistry (UCCS). My master's training at the École Centrale de Lille is a collaboration between the latter, the IFP school, the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille and the University of Lille, so I had the chance to '' be trained by teachers working within the IFP school and IFPEN. These teachers have a strong scientific basis in all aspects of thermodynamics and the characterization of catalysts as well as a very good understanding in the industrial field of catalytic processes and the preparation of industrial catalysts. I am starting my thesis at the beginning of October 2020, I will work on the transformation of biomass into products of great added value; synthesis, characterization, regeneration of catalysts as well as reaction mechanisms and industrialization of the process.

About the lesson

Each student is different and the approach I have with each is personalized. I have the ambition to offer courses adapted to the current level of the student, his abilities and his weaknesses. This is why I do not offer a standard course: "Unpacking a ready-made course" does not allow progress. I prefer to put the student at the center of the training, restore his confidence and help him progress step by step, at his speed! I set up with you an educational path describing your shortcomings and your needs to achieve a common goal: TO MAKE YOU PROGRESS AND ACHIEVE YOUR OBJECTIVES Typical process: ➜ First hour review to take stock with you on your current level and set up the strategy to reach the level you want at the end of the training - Sessions to answer the student's questions (course points, exercises and correction given in class, ...) - Series of related exercises at the course points (direct questions, exercises of direct application) - Verification of the work asked of the student (Identification of any misunderstandings / Detailed explanation of questions not included / Correction of any errors / Advice on resolution method and tips ... ) - Summary point - Report of the session (What was done during the session / What the student learned / What the student must do for the next session) ➜ In f In the course of the course, we take stock of your progress and your achievements ...
