About Raymond
I have taught chemistry, earth science, biology, physics, algebra, astronomy, physical science and many other subjects in private high school and junior high school for 28 years. I have a Master's degree in Geoscience from Mississippi State. I have helped college students with physics and chemistry. I love to make things understandable, and I often use hands-on models especially in the foundational concepts of chemistry.

A typical lesson in my class would start with a power point lesson and a list of questions for discussion. We would go through the power points and discuss each question as we go. I like to make sure that everyone in class has the chance to have their questions answered and get the information that they need. After that it would be time for review and testing. In a tutoring situation, we look at the problems together. I can demonstrate how to do by example or ask leading questions to help you think it through. Once you understand the concept, I would guide you through the problem at hand, or multiple problems, until we are both sure that you can do that type of problem.
