About Bernadette
As a Lab Manager and Research Fellow at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute at Monash University, I bring a wealth of experience in biology and immunology to my tutoring sessions. With a PhD in Immunology and Microbiology, along with undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Sciences, including Honours, I have a deep understanding of the subject matter.
My background includes valuable industry experience with leading pharmaceutical companies such as GSK, where I honed my skills and knowledge. Additionally, my years in academia, including work in the Department of Immunology and the Hunter Medical Research Institute, have equipped me with a diverse set of teaching methodologies and approaches.

I believe in creating an interactive and engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions and explore concepts in depth. My teaching methodology involves breaking down complex topics into simpler, more digestible parts, using real-life examples and visuals to aid understanding. I also emphasize the practical application of biology concepts to help students see the relevance of what they're learning.
My lessons typically last for 1 hour, depending on the student's needs. During this time, I cover key topics, and offer guidance on assignments and exam preparation.
As a tutor, I hold a PhD in immunology and microbiology and have several years of experience working in industry and academia where I have had the previlege of teaching students and supervising post graduate students. My lessons are tailored to students of all ages and levels who are passionate about biology and eager to deepen their understanding of the subject.
