About Jennifer
Following completion of B.Sc. Physical Education and Biology at Dublin City University, I gained employment in WWETB and taught science and biology for 5 years to students from first year to sixth year and at both higher and ordinary level. I have taken a career break to do some travelling but I am keen to stay in touch with the subjects while I am away. I am very passionate about teaching and will always do my best to ensure you succeed in these subjects. My students have always appreciated my personal and tailored teaching style. I will always endeavour to adapt my teaching style to suit you.

A general lesson with me will look like this:
1. Informal assessment of current knowledge
2. Introduce learning intentions for the lesson
3. Main content of the lesson - Be prepared to keep busy, I will be asking you questions, I will be setting tasks, I will not be "lecturing".
4. Assessment of learning - This could look different every lesson - exam style questions, quizzes, games, verbal assessment - We can try various different methods to find what works best for you.
I will always endeavour to make lessons fun and engaging for students. I am not going to talk at a student for the duration of an hour long lesson, I will be ensuring the student is engaged in active learning throughout lessons for the most successful results. I can cater for online lessons and I am also willing to come to your home for lessons.
