About Melanie

I have been a school counselor for-ever, or this is my 19th year to be exact. The favorite part of my day job is working one on one with my students, getting them excited about their future and helping them get there. So much so, I'd like to do something similar for you! This year, I have had students accepted to Boston University, Harvard, Fordham, John Hopkins, Howard, and Yale, just to name a few. I have specialized in helping students get accepted into nursing majors, which alongside engineering, can be extraordinarily competitive. I am not just the counselor for students looking for the elite competitive college though! Maybe you're the first in your family going to college and have no one who understands the process at home. From the elite to the community colleges, there are things to know and I am here to help you with that!

About the lesson

The college search and application process can be exciting and incredibly overwhelming! College is a huge investment of time and money, so you want to find the right college for you. I will help you navigate college search resources, what to look for, what questions to ask yourself. I will help you find realistic best matches that will meet what you want in a college or university. After that (or maybe you're already there) let's get down to getting you there! Common application, essays, letters of recommendation, SAT/ACT, let's do this!
