About Wai Kwan

Hi, I'm Vicky; tech professional worked across five continents.

I broke into product management with zero technical background, and I've been promoted every single year since; as a non-European navigating rooms that weren't built with me in mind.

The one skill that made that possible wasn't my resume. It was knowing how to speak up, manage upward, and make sure the right people knew what I was doing and why it mattered.

I spent 10 years in software product management across the EU, US, and Asia, which meant constantly building influence without formal authority — pitching ideas to skeptical stakeholders, negotiating with leadership, and making myself heard in rooms. I later trained as an ICF-certified coach, alongside the Design Your Life methodologies, so I could turn what worked for me into something teachable.

I now coach people; especially mid-career professionals, on the exact public speaking and self-advocacy skills that turn good work into visible work.

I've taught English and Spanish to adults for over 10 years, both through online platforms and in schools — so helping people find their voice, literally, is where I started. For the last 5 years, I've worked as a professional coach, and I'm an active member of Toastmasters, where I also mentor at Toastmasters Vienna. I mentor through a professional women's network and on ADP List as well. Across all of this, I've helped 200+ professionals build the confidence and visibility to speak up in the moments that matter — and finally ask for the things they want.
