About Ildar

I played guitar for over 30 years. Electrical(rock, blues), Classical(Flamenco, Spanish, Gypsy style).
Always felt satisfied but rarely happy. I always felt something was missing but never realized what it was.
Then, I have no idea how and why, I thought "I need to try to learn to play saxophone...", still can't explain what exactly motivated me. I just felt it. I got to do it.
And soon enough I got my-self a saxophone. Alto saxophone. Where do I go from here?
YouTube, that’s where everybody goes, right? So I did. Dove in, head first. And drowned, in the wonderful ocean of saxophone music. I realized what I was missing….
I was signing! Yes, saxophone is for singing! I don’t feel like I’m playing it. I feel like I am singing with its help! It gave me the voice never had. The power, the ring, the depth, the lows and highs. First time in my life I felt the real JOY of music living in me! Not the satisfaction which comes from the thought: ”Yes, that went well, I played fast and clean and with no screw ups…” .
This time it was different. I felt surrounded by music, I felt being a part of it. I felt I am the music. I play from my heart. I play by breathing, I sing. My body sings. I felt the resonance in my spine when I exhaled the music from my lungs.
What a feeling.
And I want to share this feeling now! I want to help people feel how I feel. I want to help them to start the right way. The way that will make you feel the joy of music YOU make from the very start.
Let’s join in this wonderful journey of music. And let the Saxophone show us the way.
