About Anvita
I'm a Computer Science student at UC Santa Cruz and have been a volunteer math tutor for San Jose Public Library's Seven Trees Branch. Since August 2025, I have provided one-on-one math tutoring and homework support to K-8 students.

My lessons focus on helping students understand concepts rather than simply memorizing steps. I break down challenging topics into manageable parts, explain ideas with relevant examples, and adjust the pace to your needs. Instead of providing an immediate answer, I encourage independent thinking and problem-solving.
A typical one hour lesson starts by reviewing your goals or any classwork you're finding difficult. We'll work through examples before you try questions on your own, Finally, we'll recap on the key concepts and prepare you for any upcoming tests or quizzes.
My lessons are for middle and high school students studying pre-algebra, algebra, Math 1, Math 2, AP Calculus AB, AP Psychology, or AP Macroeconomics.
