About Rachel
I am a recent college graduate from the University of California, San Diego. I graduated with a degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology with a minor in Psychology. Post-graduation I've been working as a long-term substitute teacher where I've developed practical and valuable teaching strategies such as active recall, frequent practice, and fun, interactive lessons.

As an experienced tutor, I know that all students I work with learn and retain information differently so during the first lesson I like to spend time developing a plan that I think will work best for each individual student. Typically students will come to me with specific questions on homework assignments or tests; however, I've also developed lesson plans and study sheets to help enhance learning. I have a lot of experience teaching chemistry, biology, calculus, algebra, trigonometry, and pre-calculus.
