About Sam
In 2017 and 2018, I tutored first year university students in the maths and chemistry principles required for an engineering degree. These principles cover the core learning of Maths and Chemistry from GCSE up to A-Level. In 2018, I also provided 1 to 1 tuition to A level and GCSE students in maths and chemistry in preparation for their exams. All students I tutored during this time achieved their predicted grades or above.

Hi there, I'm Sam. I'm 26 years old and offering tuition in Chemistry and Maths (GCSE/A Level). I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2018 with a master's degree in Chemical Engineering and have since been working as a Nuclear Engineer in West Cumbria. I have always possessed a real enjoyment for tutoring, especially interacting with dedicated students and helping them achieve their goals! I offer tuition in person or via webcam. During a lesson, I will begin by focusing on the theory where I will teach you the principles of the topic and encourage discussion and debate. I approach this with patience and ensure that you have a good level of understanding before progressing to exam style questions. I believe that all people learn in different ways. It is my responsibility to understand how you learn and how I can tailor my teaching style to best suit you! The most important thing for me is that after every lesson, you leave with more confidence in yourself and a step closer to achieving your goals. Together we can do this!
