About Ċetta

Salutations from Malta! I am an English teacher interested in helping people achieve more confidence in English. As an avid language learner myself I am enthusiastic to share techniques and methods to help you reach your full potential at the current level.

Professionally, I am currently reading for my international Certificate in English Language Teaching for Adults at Oxford and also preparing for a B.A. in Linguistics.

Laguages are a passion of mine and I feel grateful to have the chance to transform this passion into a real full-time career in the near future.

My aim is not only to teach English, but also to help students become confident thinkers and communicators who feel comfortable expressing themselves in the language.

About the lesson

My first priority is to help students communicate naturally and confidently.

My lessons focus on developing all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Rather thans imply memorising grammar rules, we work together ro understand how English is used in real-life situations through conversation, discussion and practical activities.

I believe that language learning should be engaging and thought-provoking. Lessons often include current affairs, everyday situations and topics that encourage learners to express their own ideas while expanding their vocabulary, improving pronunciation and refining their grammar in context.

Every lesson is adapted in sessions of 90 minutes, allowing enough time to explore topics in depth and practise all language skills without feeling rushed.

I have over seven years of experience teaching English to learners from a wide range of linguistic and cultural backgrounds. During this time, I have worked with both individual students and groups, helping learners improve their confidence, fluency and overall communication skills.

My lessons are suitable for teenagers and adults, from beginner to advanced levels as well as anyone wishing to improve their English for work, travel, study or everyday life. Whether you are preparing for an examination, building confidence in speaking, or simply looking to improve your English, lessons are tailored to help you achieve your goals.
