About Aren
I am a Los Angeles-based film professional with hands-on experience in post-production, editing, and visual storytelling. I work with industry standard tools daily — iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects — and I bring that working knowledge directly into every lesson.
My background is practical. I have been in the edit bay. I know what a clean cut feels like and I know how to teach it.
I work with students at every level — from first-time editors figuring out their footage to content creators ready to level up their output to aspiring filmmakers building a professional reel. Whatever you are making, I can help you make it sharper, faster, and more intentional.
In Los Angeles, the edit room is where careers are built. I teach from inside one.

Lessons cover the full post-production toolkit — from cutting your first timeline in iMovie to advanced editing in Premiere Pro to motion graphics and visual effects in After Effects. We start where you are and build toward where you want to be.
A typical session is project-based. Bring your footage, your half-finished cut, your creative problem — we work on your actual material, not generic exercises. You learn faster when the work is yours.
What sets me apart is industry context. I don't just teach the software — I teach you how working editors think. How to cut for emotion. How to build a sequence. How to make something feel like something.
