About Anika
Hi! I’m Anika, a Finance student at Rutgers University with a strong interest in helping students feel more confident academically. I am patient, responsible, and approachable, and I understand that every student learns differently. As a tutor, I want students to feel comfortable asking questions without worrying about making mistakes. I take my commitments seriously and will always come prepared, be on time, and create a positive learning environment where students can improve at their own pace.

My tutoring approach is patient, encouraging, and focused on making difficult concepts feel less overwhelming. I like to first understand what a student already knows and where they are getting stuck, then break the problem down step by step. During a typical lesson, we will review the concept together, work through examples, and then have the student try problems independently with my guidance. I especially enjoy working with elementary and middle school students in math, including arithmetic, fractions, pre-algebra, and Algebra I. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand why it is right and feel more confident solving problems on their own.
