About Ridhi

Hi, I’m Ridhini, a Rutgers Business School student majoring in Business Analytics and Information Technology. I’m passionate about helping students succeed in math by making challenging concepts feel simple and manageable. As a current student, I understand the pressure that comes with exams, homework, and keeping up in class, which allows me to connect with students and support them in a relatable way.

I approach tutoring with patience, clarity, and professionalism. I focus on building a strong foundation, improving problem-solving skills, and helping students gain confidence in their abilities. I believe that every student can succeed in math with the right guidance and encouragement, and I strive to create a positive, judgment-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

I am reliable, well-prepared for every session, and committed to each student’s progress. Whether a student needs help catching up, staying on track, or getting ahead, I provide structured and supportive lessons tailored to their individual needs.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is centered around making math feel understandable, approachable, and even enjoyable. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations so students don’t just memorize formulas but truly understand how and why they work. I also adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning pace and preferences, whether that means using real-life examples, visual methods, or practice-based learning.

A typical lesson with me starts with a quick check-in to review previous material and identify any areas of confusion. From there, I introduce the day’s topic in a clear and structured way, followed by guided practice where we solve problems together. I then give students the opportunity to try similar problems on their own while I provide support and feedback. I always end the session with a quick recap and tips on how to study or practice effectively outside of tutoring.

What sets me apart is my patience, relatability as a current Rutgers BAIT student, and my focus on building confidence. I understand how stressful math can feel, so I create a comfortable environment where students feel safe asking questions without judgment. I also focus on long-term improvement by teaching problem-solving strategies and study habits, not just helping with homework.

My lessons are ideal for middle school and high school students who need help with general math, algebra, or foundational concepts. I also support students who are preparing for tests, struggling to keep up in class, or looking to strengthen their skills and confidence in math.
