About Dmitrii

Hi, I'm Dmitrii — a guitarist, composer and passionate music teacher based in Encarnación, Paraguay.

I've been playing guitar for 8 years and teaching for 3 years, both offline in music schools and online. Although I don't have formal music education, I trained under a professional instructor at a state institution, where I learned not only guitar technique but also group performance, songwriting and even guitar building — I craft my own instruments.

My musical journey spans multiple genres: metal, metalcore, ambient, funk-rock, indie-rock and art-rock. I've performed at city festivals, closed an annual fair with a rock concert, and played at an open-air event in front of 2,000 people. I've also composed music for an upcoming video game, and my original tracks are available online.

Why I teach:
I genuinely love sharing my experience and being useful to others. Teaching is a two-way street — I learn from my students every day, and it's become a new passion and dimension of my musical life. What excites me most is seeing students surpass my own achievements in the same timeframe, because I give them the most effective techniques and help them avoid the mistakes I made.

A bit about me:
I'm 23 years old, a motorcycle enthusiast, anime fan and someone who enjoys deep philosophical conversations about life. I'm originally a Russian speaker, and my English is at A1-A2 level. I primarily teach in Russian, but if you're patient with my English and want to help me improve while learning guitar, I'd be happy to work with you in English too!

My promise to you:
Whether you're a complete beginner or an intermediate player, I'll create a personalized program that fits your goals, pace and learning style — including adaptations for students with ADHD symptoms. Let's make music together!

About the lesson

My teaching method and techniques
I combine practical playing with solid theory — no rote memorization, only understanding. As a performing guitarist and composer, I teach what actually works on stage and in the studio.

My approach:

Technique first: proper hand position, picking, fretting, rhythm — build a strong foundation from day one

Theory in context: learn scales, chords and progressions through real songs, not abstract exercises

Play from lesson one: even beginners start making music immediately

Ear training integrated: develop the ability to pick up chords and melodies by ear

Performance mindset: overcome stage fright, learn to listen to other musicians, play confidently in a group

A typical lesson plan
First lesson (assessment & goals):

Discuss your musical background, goals and favorite songs

Quick skill check (if you already play)

Create a personalized learning plan together

Regular lessons (45–60 min):

Warm-up & technique (10 min): exercises tailored to your level

Repertoire work (15–20 min): learn and refine songs you love

Theory in action (10–15 min): apply concepts to real music

Creative work (10–15 min): improvisation, songwriting or group dynamics (depending on your goals)

Homework & next steps (5 min): clear practice plan for the week

What sets me apart as a tutor
I'm a practicing musician, not just a teacher — everything I teach is tested on stage and in recording sessions

Four-in-one program: technique + theory + group performance + songwriting (most teachers offer only one)

Russian-speaking: perfect for Russian-speaking students in the USA who want lessons in their native language

ADHD-friendly approach: I continuously update my teaching methods and adapt the program for students with ADHD symptoms — shorter focused segments, frequent positive feedback, flexible pacing, and practical exercises that maintain engagement

Results-focused: my students play their first songs within weeks, not months

Flexible goals: whether you want to play for fun, join a band, or write original music — the program adapts to you

Who the lessons are for
Beginners: never touched a guitar? We'll start from zero and build confidence step by step

Intermediate players: stuck in a plateau? Break through with proper technique and theory

Teens and adults: age doesn't matter — I've taught students from 12 to 60+

Russian speakers in the USA: lessons fully in Russian (or bilingual if you prefer)

Singer-songwriters: learn to accompany yourself and write your own songs

Future band members: prepare for group playing, learn to listen and interact with other musicians

No prior experience needed — just bring your guitar (or I'll help you choose one) and enthusiasm!
