About Lily

With more than 8 years of experience, I specialise in teaching Guitar to college students in a clear and engaging way. I focus on helping students learn guitar without stress and with steady progress.

My teaching style is calm, patient, and organised. I take time to understand each student’s strengths and challenges before designing lessons. This helps students feel confident and motivated throughout their learning journey.

I use innovative methods such as learning through popular songs, step-by-step technique building, and guided practice plans. Students improve chord transitions, rhythm accuracy, and finger coordination through structured exercises. I also use play-along tracks to improve timing.

I teach music theory in a simple manner and connect it directly to guitar playing. I also introduce improvisation and ear training to build musical awareness and confidence.

I believe positive guidance and consistency are key to success. I create a comfortable learning space where college students can enjoy learning guitar and grow into confident, independent players.

About the lesson

My Guitar teaching methodology combines creativity, mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability. I focus on developing technical skills, musical understanding, and personal expression. Students are encouraged to improvise, compose, and explore different genres, turning lessons into a fun and meaningful experience.

Critical thinking is emphasised in every lesson. I teach students how to analyse songs, understand chord progressions, and approach music challenges strategically. This builds independence and musical intelligence.

I also focus on accountability by helping students set goals, establish consistent practice routines, and track their improvement. Feedback and encouragement create motivation and confidence.

In addition to Guitar, I teach music theory, ear training, songwriting, and performance techniques. Lessons are personalised, engaging, and adaptable to each student’s pace and interests.

My aim is to mentor students into becoming creative, confident, and self-sufficient musicians who love making and performing music.
