About Sandy
I am well qualified as a teacher, possessing a Rhodes University Bachelor of Arts in Drama (specializing in Directing, Actor and the audience, Choreography, Physical and Visual theatre and Physical Theatre), Ethnomusicology and Psychology. I’ve also completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Rhodes University with the teaching methods of Dramatic Arts FET, Creative Arts SP and Life Orientation FET/SP. My experiences as a Rhodes University Ncedana Mentor for first years, Livingstone House Sports Representative, Vacation Sub-warden, student teacher and educator have afforded me the opportunity to interact with diverse student populations and engage them in learning as well as discipline. With the use of teaching methods that coincide with the Universal Design for learning such as Pedagogical content knowledge. This includes providing high-interest learning material, multiple means of assessment and instruction as well as the careful modeling and scaffolding of new skills; I strive to ensure that every student achieves individual excellence. I completed an internship at Koniz-Lebermatt Gymnasium in Switzerland, teaching and directing, I understand the importance of motivation and the ability of possessing excellent listening, time management skills. I’m a dedicated and passionate individual with excellent interpersonal skills who looks upon teaching and theatre as a vocation. I am currently teaching Drama to Grade 8,9 and 11 at Victoeia Girls' High School

Lessons are interactive where we take what is learnt on the pages and I teach you on how to put it onto the stage. All lessons will be conducted in English. My classes are aimed at Grade 8 to 12 learners who are taking Drama as a subject or have a liking to be coached professionally.
