I am a retired college professor who taught courses in education, psychology, and special education for over twenty-five years. My skill set includes issues of reading, writing, grammar, and other writing issues. I am interested in helping people with their oral and written language skills.

My teaching approach is student centered. I take the student from where he or she is comfortably functioning and encourage his or her development in areas defined by the student. I believe in active and involved student learning that encourages critical thinking skills as opposed to, for example, rote memorization of facts.
