About Joel
I want to teach to help young people achieve their goals. I was the first person in my family to go to University and have had my world opened up by this oppotunity and expereince.
Currently, I am a postdoctoral reseracher at Imperial College London and have a broad background across all the sciences. I have A-levels in all three sciences and maths, an undergraduate degree from Bristol in Chemistry, and a PhD in Physics from Imperial College London. I have employment experience at a biological filtration company and now as a physics researcher.

I have experience in teaching different age groups in a variety of subjects. From teaching Italian teenagers English, to teaching undergraduates at Univeristy. I also have some 1 to 1 teaching experience of GCSE level science.
I have always been someone who can simplify complex ideas and can break them down using simple language. I can therefore help improve understanding, but can also help you with the more practical side of qualifications, namely exam technique and study skills.
I am happy to tailor lessons to fit your goals. I find that some discussion, followed by working through exercises and exam questions together is the best way to improve.
