About Mohamed
I'm a researcher and writer on global politics and economics. I have a Master's degree in International Affairs from Columbia University. I previously TA'd for economics for two semesters at Columbia where I taught graduate students of diverse ages. I've also worked as a policy consultant and writer across Asia and the Middle East, meeting famous and interesting people and finding myself in the corridors of power.
I scored a 340 on the GRE and got into 4 top graduate schools, so I can also help you navigate that test and guide you through your graduate school application process. I've also published extensively — from short newspaper columns (in places like The Washington Post) to a 300-page book (published by Penguin) — so if you want to know how to write coherently and effectively, I'm also your guy for that.
I'm here because I love teaching and exchanging ideas with inquisitive young minds — college and grad school students in particular. I can teach you online, one-on-one, or as a small group!

I teach economics for college and grad school students, tailoring my classes to your specific needs and interest areas. I've traveled the world and worked everywhere, so you can expect plenty of interesting stories to help you understand economics concepts well.
I have a background in both engineering and the humanities, so I can teach both quantitatively and qualitatively, depending on what works best for the student. I also prize interest and intellectual curiosity in a student, so you should be ready for a class that is fun and interactive!
