About Beverley
Hello, my name is Beverley and I am a student, just like you. I love teaching and learning because I have a natural curiosity which motivates me to ask questions and delve into new topics. This is why I am studying an interdisciplinary degree at Royal Holloway University, which allows me to choose a wide range of modules to feed this curiosity. My long term ambition is to become a writer and university lecturer.
If you choose me to be your tutor, I will get to know you as an individual, learn about your interests and work with you to engage you with your chosen subject. I know how it feels to get overwhelmed and lose touch with a subject when there are topics you don't immediately grasp in class, but my goal is to learn how you learn so we can overcome this together and make learning feel rewarding again. I will set measurable goals to allow you to track your progress and I will curate lessons to your personal learning style to aid you in achieving these goals. My main goal in tutoring is to inspire confidence and a love for learning in my students, no matter how difficult the subject may seem initially, and the grades are only the destination of this learning journey.
