About Jade
I am a qualified teacher, currently teaching in a remedial school. I am able to teach from Grades 3 to 7. I offer both in-person tutoring and online tutoring for all learners. I have 10 years of teaching experience in both mainstream and remedial education. I taught English as a second language overseas for two years, spent 4 years in a mainstream Grade 4 class, and am currently in my 5th year teaching Grade 4 at a remedial school. I specialise in Maths and Literacy teaching and have a vast knowledge on how to teach both to learners as well as a variety of resources at my disposal in which to use to teach anyone.

I am a skills-focused teacher. I acknowledge that content is important, but I like to focus on the skills required and adjust the content to the individual's interests, strengths and needs. My teaching approach depends on the needs of the learner. I am also a mom, so I understand the demands both in and outside of the classroom on our children. I like to focus on a more holistic approach and allow for learning to be engaging and fun.
