I finished high school last year. I am currently on my gap year but I still want put the knowledge from the few years to use. I graduated with academic honours. I am bilingual(English/Afrikaans). I start my tertiary studies(BSc Computer Science) next year.

I focus on students who are struggling to understand the work content/homework and students that want extra help with exam preparation. I think you learn best by revising, finding areas to work on and focussing on them in order to strengthen the building blocks of your knowledge. What I have found effective is to do as many practise papers as possible. Repeating vital information until you understand and retained the information and asking as many question as possible (when studying for exams there are no such thing as dumb questions).
I understand everyone studies using different methods and I will therefor try to personalise my methods for different students. I teach by asking about areas where students do not feel confident. I then focus on those areas by explaining it to the best of my ability and giving students the opportunity to ask questions. We will then go through practise tests and see where we can improve and what we can focus on until the student feels confident about the subject.
