About Dewi
I am a young and enthusiastic individual, that is particularly passionate about improving overall attitudes towards mathematics.
My recent dissertation (Graded as a 1st) focused on how to help children deal with mathematical anxiety, and how to reduce the negative stigma surrounding the subject.
I have worked in a variety of primary schools around the Manchester region, in EYFS and KS2 settings. This has also included teaching online during the recent Covid lockdown.
Having now graduated, I want to assist children in catching up with the mathematics curriculum after the disruptions of the past 2 academic years.

My aim is to develop children's confidence in Mathematics and to reduce their levels of Mathematical Anxiety.
1 Hour sessions, following a similar structure to primary mathematics lessons:
Short Starter - Input - Time for activities - Short Plenary.
These will be personalised to the child's individual learning needs.
KS1/KS2 level, but can also assist KS3 students in need of extra support.
