About Keerthika

As an undergraduate student, I have learned to utilize different study methods in science and math. Science and math are not easy topics, requiring dedication and hard work. As a Medicinal Chemistry specialist, I have many tips and tricks that could help students elevate their science and math grades. Besides chemistry, I have mentored high school and first-year undergraduate students to help them make academic decisions and determine their unique learning styles. I also work with students on a spectrum level. I am also a student, and it has not been very long since I graduated from university. I can closely relate to the students and know what they are going through. My goal is to elevate students and see them succeed in their academic careers.

About the lesson

I make myself available twice: during office hours when students can drop by quickly to ask questions and as a regularly scheduled tutor. I will have a Google Form ready for students to fill out before their tutor session. This will give me an idea of where students struggle and what concept they want to go over or prepare them for assessment; I will create practice questions. This method will allow students to attend tutor sessions with a purpose and goal. My teaching methods involve active recall, visual representation, and practice questions. These three methods will allow students to understand the concept and not memorize patterns in chemistry.
