About Navjeet

My name is Navjeet Kaur and I am 16 years old and I have just recently finished my GCSEs from Baylis Court Girls school. During my time in secondary school, my grades only started to improve when I took matters into my own hands. I had been to countless tutors over the years and none of them seemed to help. They all fixated on teaching me content by making my write for hours on end or just forcing me to do questions with no support. Subsequently, my grades suffered. However, I managed to turn my 4s and 5s into 8s and 9s over the course of one year by honing and perfecting my study techniques that allowed me to retain more information in a shorter amount of time. By working on my weak spots rather then avoiding them, I managed to significantly increase my knowledge and exam technique to finally get the grades I wanted. This allowed me to be able to go on many trips for my achievements that I had never imagined I would be able to go on such as visiting to Oxford University twice for maths and getting lectures from many educated professors. I was even chosen to be part of my schools Scholars programme that had one to one meetings to discuss the steps I could take to reach the highest ranking universities. For this reason, I want to help others also achieve their dream grades even if they have no idea where to begin.

About the lesson

I believe learning is all about being flexible and accommodating your preferences into your study sessions. Study sessions should be short and effective and I intend my tutoring sessions to follow this same principle. In my tutoring sessions, you would get one to one sessions with lessons based around learning and solidifying content but also making sure to target your weak spots to ensure you can get the best grades possible. It’s never too late to start! Sciences and maths are my favourite subjects however, it can be hard to revise for them especially if you don’t know where to start, so I would love to share all my insight and firsthand knowledge with you. My tutoring sessions will be very interactive and pre-planned along with dedicated time for me to go over any questions or topics you may be struggling with in the week.
