About Jiah
I am a focused Grade 11 student with a deep passion for Mathematics and a consistent track record of high academic achievement in my school boards. Having recently navigated the same curriculum my students are currently facing, I understand exactly where the 'roadblocks' usually appear and how to overcome them with simple, modern shortcuts.
I decided to start tutoring because I believe that a strong foundation in Grade 1 to 8 is the secret to future success. My goal is to be a relatable mentor—a 'big sister' figure—who makes numbers feel less intimidating. I am patient, disciplined, and dedicated to helping my students see the logic behind the formulas, ensuring they build genuine confidence that stays with them throughout their school years.

As a high-school student, I offer a fresh and energetic approach to Maths for children from Grade 1 to Grade 8. My classes are designed to be interactive, moving away from boring rote learning to focus on logical understanding and mental math tricks.
A typical 60-minute session starts with a quick 'brain-warmer' puzzle, followed by tackling school homework or new concepts using visual aids and simplified shortcuts that I personally used to ace my exams. I specialize in breaking down complex topics like fractions, decimals, and basic algebra into bite-sized, easy-to-grasp ideas.
Because I am a student myself, I understand the pressure kids feel, so I maintain a friendly, 'big-brother/sister' atmosphere where no question is too 'silly.' My goal is to build your child's confidence so they actually look forward to Maths instead of fearing it!
