About Alan
I am a part-time Intelligence Analyst with 2 years of experience in intelligence operations and data support at the
Pennsylvania Army National Guard. I have an active DoD Secret Clearance and a solid training in statistics. With a
newly earned Bachelor's degree in Applied Statistics, I am looking for an entry-level job in math teaching, statistical

My teaching approach is student-centered, patient, and adaptive. I teach at a deliberately slow pace at first, then adjust quickly based on how the student responds. This ensures the student builds a solid foundation before moving on.
I emphasize visual and conceptual understanding. I don’t believe mathematics and statistics are just about numbers, formulas, or written expressions—they are ways of thinking, reasoning, and interpreting patterns. I often use diagrams, examples, real-world analogies, and step-by-step reasoning to make abstract ideas concrete.
Rather than lecturing, I ask guided questions throughout the lesson. This allows me to check understanding in real time, encourage students to explain ideas in their own words, and reinforce learning through recall.
